Many band members actually join the indoor guard programs at their high schools during the off season. Hopefully, we can get one started this season and anyone can try for it!

But really, how cool would it be, in the middle of a guard performance, to just steal the sabres and reinact the climactic battle of Return of the Jedi?

In all seriousness, doing indoor will help keep you mentally, musically, and visually prepared for outdoor. A group I taught in VA had many boys involved in their indoor guard program that wanted to improve for outdoor as well... Also, they were never without dates...
