| I would just like to know the general opinion from the band of their views of one of the most........interesting topics i know of. Now, here is the question. What do you think of Pokemon, especially the games? My answer: Personally, i think that the games are pretty fun, i love the new ones, and my little bro is obsessed, so i have no choice. I also know a lot of other bandies that play so, w/e ya know. So whatcha think? | |

| Danny, Bob has laid down a no-pokemon rule! I'm extending that to these forums! No drumline member is to speak of pokemon at rehearsal, or on band forums, or anywhere else remotely connected to band. Really. Pokemon? P.S. Danny, there is always a choice. You have chosen to walk the path of darkness, and if you continue, I will forsake you. | |

| I lile the games. Nintendo and gamefreak found a way to make an RPG that was simple but still fun to play. Its great when if I don't want to get bogged down in games like FF. I own Crystal, Leafgreen, and yellow, as well as Pokemon Stadiums 1 & 2 for N64. Still, the simplicity means that the games tend to get boing after you beat them, which great RPG series like FF, KOTOR (Mr white would love this), and WoW don't suffer from. | |

| actually ryan, i'd have to disagree with that last statement you made. many times, simplicity in games are really a draw as handhelds are usually seen as more of a pick-up-and-go device. longer more involved experiences tend to be better suited for household platforms which have more capacity in terms of hardware to develop such games. and as much as i love long involved rpgs (oblivion, tales of symphonia) sometimes limited time makes these harder to truly enjoy as they are so vast that two hours makes hardly a dent in progress. this depth can also overwhelm less experienced gamers, making simpler gameplay a real draw. | |

| Hi! Agree with you Ryan, that's why it isn't advisable to own Pokemon versions that are most likely the same walkthrough like the FireRed and LeafGreen versions. Before buying different versions ask first to those who already played those versions or have a research to avoid "duplication" and boredom because there are really Pokemon versions that are just the same but with different choices of Pokemon at the start of the game, different Professors and different rival trainee but with the same walkthrough. | |
